The workshop has been created by the IAB’s Video Steering Group, which is made up of the leading companies in the video space and is tasked with setting the agenda and objectives of all IAB video initiatives.

At the workshop we’ll be delving into the most hotly debated topics in the industry, highlighting advanced techniques and busting common myths and misconceptions. Everything from creativity through to programmatic video and ad quality will be discussed to ensure that you come away feeling confident talking to your clients and colleagues about how to make online video drive results.

This session will look at advertising through the lens of a video player and will look in depth at 4 key areas. The life of a video player when serving ads, implementing the key standards, tracking/ beaconing, and server-side ad insertion.
10:45am – 11:30am Programmatic video, AdColony & Perform
Quick fire presentations from a publisher, and ad tech company about what programmatic video means to their business and how they are using it to increase efficiencies and improve campaign performance.
11:30am – 12:15pm Content creation and distribution, Unruly
This session will explore how to create video content that your brands target audience wants to watch, and will also delve into how to get your video in front of the right eyeballs. You’ll learn how to cut through the noise and develop a sustainable video content marketing strategy influenced by data and insights.

This session will explore quality of video inventory from brand safety to ad fraud and viewability. You’ll learn about the importance of ad verification and what measures you need to put in place to maximise the impact of your advertising and reduce the risk of misplacement.

What does the future of digital video look like? This immersive session will give you insight into some of the things that are going to play an important role in the future of marketing. You'll get a chance to build some video creative - including new and innovative interactive formats.
