IAB Charity Working Group

As well as working to highlight the wonderful benefits of digital advertising as a medium, we at the IAB also recognise our wider responsibilities as a company and as an industry.

That is why we support a number of important initiatives to promote responsible practices within the industry, and connected projects of social, economic and environmental benefit.

Helping to make the internet a better place for children and young people:

The IAB is a proud supporter of Media Smart, the children’s media literacy organisation. Media Smart helps children and young people to understand and interpret the commercial world around them, by developing a range of free-to-use resources for parents, carers and schools. You can learn more about Media Smart, and download its resources at www.mediasmart.uk.com

We also back Safer Internet Day. Safer Internet Day 2016 (09 February) is a global event that seeks to help create a better internet for children. You can support Safer Internet Day and find out more at www.saferinternet.org.uk

Fundraising for causes close to our heart

The IAB is full of caring individuals wishing to go the extra mile for a good cause! Our upcoming and most recent charitable activities can be seen below:

Details on how to donate for each cause will be communicated nearer the time.

For halloween, on 31 October, it will cost IAB staff to arrive to work. £3 for those that want to dress up and £5 or more for those that don't. This is to raise money for The Syrian Boy.

Ibrahim Hassan Al Abd, a 5-year-old little boy from Aleppo sustained serious burns during the airstrikes at the end of Ramadan. He suffered 3rd degree burns to 70% of his face and skull, resulting in deformation of skin, bones and muscle and severe infection. The money we raise will go towards his care and hospital.
